Now is the time to really do a self assessment and ask if you are doing all you need to do when it comes to taking care of YOURSELF.
Are you doing all you need to do to prevent or reverse yourself from developing imbalances in the body classified as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obesity, ADD, depression, etc? Are you doing all you can to prevent or reverse allergies, acne, migraines, stress? OR are you sitting back and popping pills, taking injections, having surgery, AND complaining about how much it all costs?
Even if all of that was free, would you really want to live your life popping pills or taking injections? Given some of the horrific side effects of many drugs, very often you wind up having to take more drugs to combat the side effects!!
Listen to your body
Perhaps you don't have any immediate health symptoms manifesting themselves as a dis-ease. But please note simple signs like repeated rash, pain, gas, excess mucus, is the way of the body saying "Hello..<knock, knock> there is an imbalance somewhere". Be aware, that many little things like living in or working in/near an urban city, using toxic personal care products, drinking little or bad water, lack of exercise, carpet in your home, or eating mostly cooked processed food puts much stress on our organs.
When I simply gift my body sufficient hours of sleep, I am energized, focused, have a better workout…and the big plus…weight release! Whoo-hoo!
Just by giving up soda and drinking more water one of my aunts released weight and had less swelling in her ankles. Yeah, she drank a lot of soda!!
My Dad was able to raise his good cholesterol level (HDL) by simply gifting his body 30+ min of walking 3 times/week. He was pleasantly surprised. He's 81 by the way!
Gift your body
So, what simple gift will you give your body so you can feel better than you've felt in a LONG time? Consider doing ONE, yep, just one change for 14 days or even better 30 days, and you WILL feel better than you've ever felt in long time.
Here are some examples to DO…not try… DO! (remember…just ONE):
- Optimally, you should drink 1/2 your weight in ounces of water daily. (eg. if you weighed 150lbs you should drink 75 ounces = 2+ liters = about nine 8oz glasses). I'll talk about good quality water in another blog post.
- Walk more! Take the stairs instead of elevator.
